Naef v. Masonite Corporation (Circuit Court of Mobile County, Alabama)

During the 1990s, Masonite sold hardboard siding that is prone to deteriorate and rot from moisture. In 1998, after a jury trial proved that the siding was defective, a nationwide settlement established a ten year claims program allowing eligible homeowners to recover costs resulting from the failure of the siding on their homes. To date, nearly $1 billion has been paid, making this case one of the largest consumer class action payouts in history. We are co-counsel for the plaintiffs.
